what about cables and jacks/plugs which Guthrie use???
any particular brand used occasionally?? or any cable will do?
from what i feel...the first cable from guitar has a lot to do with tone also..

Guthrie didn't know what brands of cables that were in his rig, so I guess any cable that is reliable will do. Sure, cables matter, but whether that's 1% or 0.01% is up to the individual.

Cheers fellah, that analogue synth looks fun,

you know if you stuck the latest photos in your most recent post you'd have a progression of his rigs and also people'd find it first hit Wink

maybe that's the librarian in me Wink - by that I mean my librarian instincts.

But when the thread gets a couple of pages longer people dont want to trawl through pages to find information, so its in the dirst post

i bet the librarian in you is going to say "make the first post a contents page" Laughing

MissM, I was just expressing an idea, nothing more. It's great that you contribute so much content to the site. Perhaps it would have been more appropriate for me to say you have collected more pictorial evidence of Guthrie's rigs than can be found for Scott Henderson's or John Scofield's on their sites ... and that there's an opportunity in that (I think).

As for you DLM, I think I prefer being a Wookie... besides Jazz Orang-utans is a naff name for a band Wink

Now does anyone know if Guthrie's piezo equipped guitar used a preamp?

Damn, he'd give Eric Johnson a run for his money in the 'how much cable can you have on your pedalboard?' competition Smile
