Hello, I think I've ordered the first G.G signature guitar in Holland....
Since I have to wait I'm searching for video's, soundclips reviews etc.
Who has this guitar already, what's your experience whith it and why does nobody posts clips on youtube? Before I bought the R.Kotzen tele I'd seen a lot of vids on youtube from users. This GG suhr is something to be proud of, isn't it?..... Question

Super! I'm looking forward to it!
I'm really curious about the blower switch, the "stratty" and gibson like sounds and, of course, the tremol-no etc. etc.
Thanks for the quick response!!

Wow, what a service!! Thanks, I'm even more excited about it then I was!
It's really as versatile as I hoped. I've been to Chelmsford this year to hear Guthrie live and of course it sounded fantastic, but I think Guthrie could even make a toilet sound great Laughing
The amp is also supersounding! Maybe in the future....
What did you do to get rit of the "tune-problem"?
I hope that you've inspired others to post their Govan sign.video, this guitar deserves it!!
Thanks again!

Seems your the only one with a Guthrie Govan Suhr....
Do you use the tremel-no a lot?
Who knows if there are other reviews etc. about it? I'm really curious why there's less attention for his guitar on the forum then, let's say, Dizzee Rascall Laughing

i use the tremol-no an AWFUL lot but thats because my work requires me to play all styles, i have the bridge floating for modern rock, but its be fixed bridge for the past few weeks for country and latin music

and i think the reason there arent many reviews is theyre DAMN expensive guitars that few people have

Yes that's true, I've saved money for a long time, but I think it's worth it.
B.t.w Ed Yoon told me that the GG.model sold very well.
My Suhr should be here very soon (I've ordered it in June this year.....)

it has sold really well yeah

mine was 13th off the line, and that was a while ago, if i sold 13 guitars at this price id consider it to be "selling well"

i still would guess there are less than 100 in existence, and in the grand scheme of things thats very few lol

Levi, can I ask what your opinion is on the 'blower switch'?

My understanding is that Guthrie uses this as a kind of 'on-board second channel' to be able to move from a 'sweet-spot' volume/control knob setting to full on bridge tone without messing up the 'sweet-spot' setting. I was curious as to whether you find you use this regularly, less so, or whether it's just nice to have as an option if you so desire.

Mark

Hey Mark

I do use the blower switch, i did some work with a singer songwriter last week, and i used the blower switch then to save the sweet spot and have some drive in the chorus

at the same time its great to remember that the blower switch IS louder than the bridge humbucker on full, so sometimes i put it on when i need a little boost.

but ill be honest, yeah, i do use it the MOST when people say "what does that little button do?!?!" haha i had that in a guitar shop just today!!!

you do get the feeling that you have guthries tone when you use it, it just responds a little differently
