Assuming GH uses the same chart...

Coming at it from the simplest angle, i.e. the only one I can manage (and not something crazy and Holdsworthian), in the 'B' section you're safe to play C#minor stuff over the first 8 bars (even more simple: C#min pent/blues).

Then you can follow the chords...
- Cmaj7#11 : chord tones...or...C lydian...or...Amin pent
- Bmaj7 : chord tones...or...B major...or...G#min pent
- Emin9 : chord tones...or...Emin pent
Just looking for crafty ways to survive the changes here. You could find a cool line for the Cmaj7#11 which lasts for 2 bars...shift it down a semitone halfway through so it covers the Bmaj7 too.
You could shift before the chord change and sound a bit 'outside' until the chords catch you up Shocked

It's all well and good on paper...the hard thing is making it work smoothly...first thing I'd do is slow it all down Wink

Just had a gawp at GH's YouTube of this track: same changes as the Tony Williams original.
