What Ho All! My name is Tryg, I am based in Galway in the West of Ireland. I am a Guitar Player for almost 20 years. My fav players are Allan Holdsworth, Frank Zappa, Adrian Belew,Scott Henderson,Gale Paridjanian, Michael Hedges and a few more (most recently being Shawn Lane thanks to Donnie B). I am just as much into other players as I am guitarists. I like drummers; Trilok Gurtu, Peter Erskine, Joel Taylor, Gary Husband, Vinnie Coliauta, Chad W. et al. I worked in Denmark St. London for a while in the '90's but left because it was driving me bonkers; I just did not want to play guitar when I got home at night.If you bought a guitar in Denmark St. In the '90's I may have sold it to you maybe not. I am just as interested in technical things and even though I am a mechanic by trade I spend as much time doing other stuff especially tech-ing. I have just finished a degree course in IT and Philosophy for a double Major BA. I am waiting for the next great musical epiphany in my life. That and a divorce. Good to be here.

Hiya,
welcome to the forum, that's a really excellent set of musicians, I listen to all but two of those and the other's ... well I'll be checking out Gale and Michael soon.

I think I'll forgive you for working in Denmark Street.. if it was Andies, you're cool by me anyway but the rest of the shops I found you could point at a guitar and wave a gold card or two under the shop staff's nose and still nada.. so me and my money went elsewhere.

The reason I'll forgive you for Tin Pan Alley is cos you like drummers (I'll ignore the luminaries listed and stick to the joke Wink) personally I give money to the PDSA, but if you can find it in your heart to like those unfortunates then kudos to you Wink

What's there difference between a deep pan pizza and a drummer? ....

A Deep Pan Pizza can feed a familly of four Wink

Thank you. I am glad to be here. Gale is one half of Turin Brakes (but a closet monster on the box) and if I were to recommend a MH album it would be "Aerial Boundaries" (you will be a different man after that!!!). Check out his website too;
