Hey everyone,
I'm doing my PhD at the University of Surrey, UK, with a project on the persona in instrumental rock. One of my four case studies is Guthrie (along with Vai, Malmsteen and Satriani) and I was hoping I could get your two cents on the notion of the persona in Guthrie's music. I'm interested in how/if the notion of 'persona' features at all in the way fans think about his music. Please feel free to ask any questions, but the less I tell you about the thesis the better, as I don't want to guide you towards a particular conclusion.
