We'll have to check with Paul on that. I don't think it's something high-end boutique makers want to make public. It's one thing for someone to try to steal and copy a Fender circuit, but within this realm, there are too many hobbyists who could use the ideas painstakingly developed over many years by someone like Paul (or Peter Diezel, or Reinhold Bogner, or Stevie Fryette, or John Suhr, etc.) and then come out with something similar and call it their own, which is really not cool at all... |
My main reason for asking was to better understand how that loop diagram Martin sent me would "fit in" to the current circuit. But yah, I understand your point. _________________ What would we all do without guitars............. take up knitting? |

I just received the following email response from Martin Kidd about the Super Harley:
Hi Don, the "super Harly" will probably have reverb and effects loop and may also have a mid control so the chassis may well be different to the existing Harly. The output stage will still have a single EL84 so no change there and I expect early next year for a release date, that is my guess at least.
Hope this answers your questions, regards Martin
So now I'm certain I'll be adding the loop to my Harley. Any news yet Ed? _________________ What would we all do without guitars............. take up knitting? |

I've got Noel looking at the schematic. We'll take out the Harley's chassis from the cab and see what kind of work is involved and let you know. I was going to have a local tech look at it this week as well, but he told me that he's taking the rest of the week off. Noel and I'll keep you posted. _________________ Ed Yoon

THANKS A BUNCH!
Ed, I noticed in the birthday party pics that the guitarist on the right looked to be playing the same Vigier that I once owned for about a week until I traded it for the Shawn Lane type model.
Am I correct? _________________ What would we all do without guitars............. take up knitting? |

Hmmm... can't remember. Did you have the black transparent Excalibur Special? If you did, then yeah, that's the one. _________________ Ed Yoon

Nope, then that's not the one. The one you had for a while is long gone. _________________ Ed Yoon

Interesting, it's not showing as sold on your webpage. Check the third one down on the right in the Vigier section. I could swear that's the one I owned for a week or so. _________________ What would we all do without guitars............. take up knitting? |

Well, that one on the website is in a black or ebony transparent color. It looks like a different hue on the website photo, but it's not blue or purplish at all.
In other news, I just heard from Salwender that Vigier will officially unveil the Shawn Lane Signature Model (blessing of Shawn's family's estate) at 2005 Winter NAMM in Anaheim. _________________ Ed Yoon
