Thanks for posting this, those clips are superb. Great tone and there's a great Holdsworth-ish lick at the end of the first clip. And as for the slide solo Does he always use the slide on his middle finger?
Cheers,

Hay I’m new here , but I was just flicking through and seen this topic, I’m currently attending the conservatorium of music in Hobart, Tasmania.
Last year Brett Garsed came down and did a few clinics and hosted a few 1 on 1 private lesson, which I was lucky enough to attend.
It was awesome and was the first real time I had heard Brett play, he mostly played Big Sky songs, it was insane. He is definitely one of (Greg Howe is also up there), if not my favourite guitar player, he is very original and his new instructional DVD will be awesome. I also got to see him when he opened for VAI in Melbourne a while back that was also very cool!
By the way have any of you guys got the first Brett Garsed reh video, I asked Brett at the clinic and he said it very hard to get, I’ve tried for a long time to get it but nobody has it, if any of you guys have it, I would be up for buying it from you or trade some things or something |

hey dood, welcome!!
first of all, you are a lucky bastard.....Brett never plays around here
You can find his instructional video on ebay most of the time. You can also try a file-sharing program like WinMX, i know a few people who got it from there. |

I have the videotape but I lent it to someone who never gave it back to me.
I have it on my computer but it's incomplete (I have the Performance, Right Hand technique and Combining Technique segments....but I have the booklet in JPEG format).
Let me know if you can't find a complete copy anywhere esle and if you still wanna trade via mail (I live in NY) or AIM transfer. |

Brett got in touch with me about distributing the DVDs through the TM shop. I'm not sure how much of it I can move on my own, but I'm willing to give it a shot. He told me that he might be out in LA in June or July and said that he'd love to play here. Man, a Guthrie, Greg Howe, Brett Garsed triple bill seems tantalizingly within reach! _________________ Ed Yoon

Now I like the idea of filming threesomes as much as the next man, but hold up there... it reminds me of this:
