"Sparke Drive" by voodoo labs. It is such a clean overdrive, it just kills my tubescreamer, and you can mix a clean single with the dirt, almost like having 2 amps. And it sounds great loud and pounded into just like any good overdrive.

Any one else love this pedal?

or

What's your favorite pedal, or effect??

Tim

Also, what's a good Ring Modulator, without going bankrupt.

It's a cool pedal. That clean boost function that you can mix with overdrive is indeed pretty cool.

I really don't know of other ring modulators besides the Moogerfooger.

It's not a ring modulator, but you could try the Ibanez Tonelock chorus/flanger. That's pretty cheap and capable of some ring modulation-like noises. I think the Electroharmonix Frequency Analyser does something similar but I haven't tried it (yet) and it's probably pricey Sad

Anyway, current fave pedal....Electroharmonix Polyphonic Octave Generator (POG) - octave below, octave above and 2 octaves above ( and detuned octave and 2 octave up settings) all of which can be blended as you want. Bloomin' great!

My favorite pedal right now is the Keeley DS-1 Ultra and the Keeley Compressor....those are the only two pedals I use anymore.

I've several pedal wants I can't decide which is the most important:

A tube screamer (any old one will do;))
A Whammy pedal (Whammy Damage by Batten.. wow Shocked)
A Mooger Fooger (no reason really except I love atonality- Chromazone solo on the CD Laughing it reminds me of Ship Ahoy from Shut Up and Play Yer Guitar)

Hey Ed - could you think about this one a bit and maybe come up with a comprehensive list?

Ah, you'd like me to state perhaps the Top 10 for each category? And I could, but I'd have to actually think about it then. Wink

Anyone knows about a really good and Arrow CHEAP Multi-effects Pedal that it is worth to buy? Confused I don't have any pedals and I want to start to put some colours in my sound... Yes, I confess... I consider myself a novice playing the guitar for 13 years Embarassed .
So, What can I get Question
And Thanks in advance.

You can probably pick up one of the original Zoom 505s pretty cheaply and they're fine for getting started. You can't do a huge amount of editting but it has some very nice basic sounds. I've used one on guitar and bass and it sounds pretty good ( a little noisy occasionally).

There is a Mark II but I haven't tried it. You can also pick up the older Digitech stuff quite cheaply ( I've got an RP6 I paid £80 for, purely because it contained a "genuine" Whammy pedal for half the price of the Whammy on its own!)

Cheers,
Alun

Thanks Alun, I got the POD XT Live at the end. I wanted something which I could use for a long time and to not to end up tired with. I'm quite happy now.
