The new Guthrie video clips page on the TM site continues to generate a lot of hits (almost 5000 in a little over a week) and I'm naturally curious where the hits are coming from. So I check one of the links and it's from Harmony Central Forum's Guitar Jam section:

http://acapella.harmony-central.com/forums/showthread.php?s=970ee7a6c080730cfd2a1f68828d269c&threadid=883978

There's a post by a guy who goes by the moniker of swinglinecub near the bottom of this page that made me break out in loud laughter. Laughing Laughing Laughing Truly hilarious!

Now if he had ended with "BUY MY PEARLCASTERS", I would have guessed it was Ed Roman Mr. Green

Yeah, Guthrie has a real problem being humble.

DUMBASS ALERT! WARNING!

Good Lord, that is the oldest and absolute stupidest argument against players with amazing talent. You can be damn sure "The Idiot" is working his way up to 3 chords any day now...

Yeah, funny stuff. I'm not even bothered by comments like "Malmsteen fan-boy", etc. anymore. It just makes me go Rolling Eyes and I move on. And the old and tired "song is what I like" and "feel is more important than technique", etc. arguments just make me want to change the subject altogether. It's like, "Okay, it's my fault I even mentioned Guthrie to you! Let's talk about something else." Rolling Eyes
