I'm going to see the Scott Henderson Blues Band in a bar here in Prague next week. I've never heard any of his stuff but have seen his name around on a few forums so thought I'd check him out. What should I expect?

Really great music! Wink

It'll be a combination of earthy (sometimes raunchy) Jimi/JB/SRV-inflected blues-rock and Holdsworth/Coltrane-like jazz lines and harmonies. Scott has some of the fattest lead tones as well. It's challenging stuff but can also be good downhome blues music as well. You're going to enjoy it a lot. Scott is one of Guthrie's favorite players. Greg Howe is a big fan of Scott as well. You'll see why!

Just don't expect him to use his trem. Scott never touches the damn thing!

Yeah, I've seen him 5 times now and it seems his right hand is practically glued to the arm now. It's cool though. He uses it in a way that doesn't get on your nerves.
