Sup dudes, I'm Dave from Mirfield, near Huddersfield, totally addicted to the guitar, especially "shred", much as I hate the label, and prog-metal a la Dream Theater. I love Guthrie's columns in GT, and recently played "Wonderful Slippery Thing" at a talent contest, winning unanimously!!! It's good to see that so many people are aware of Guthrie and his fantastic playing, and to see that shred isn't dead.

Peace,

Dave

Hey, welcome Dave!

Yeah, the term "shred" sucks because there are so many bad shredders out there, but I believe that it's definitely on a path to revival. Not like it was back in the 80's, but in a more mature and musical form. I really think that it'll be big again.

Hiya,

I was listening to the WST version from GT recently and the melody reminds me of No Pay, No Play by Ronnie Jordan. A belter tune and that intro, me likes Wink
