Nice! I admit I usually don't wanna hear 'another' blues guitarist, but this playing very entertaining indeed! |

What I'd love to see is "Scott Henderson Plays the Standards" sort of a record sometime. His tone is a little bright on these clips, but in person, he really sounds amazing. His lines are real slinky and not too on the beat, which is a character I really like in his playing. If you asked Guthrie to name his 3 favorite players, Scott would surely be one of 'em. _________________ Ed Yoon

Great stuff, Scott is fantastic. I have this live video clip of him from about 1992 (part of a guitar "magazine" video) and on there he was using this cool blue/purple Ibanez, not sure of the model, might have been a custom job... I'll have to dig it out and re-watch it. |

I agree, that is just some really great playing there.
I wish there was alot more of that to see. I watch that with similar amazement as when I watch Jeff Beck play. They just make it look and sound so simple and natural.
I had the pleasure of seeing Tribal Tech twice back in the early 90's here in Minneapolis at two small clubs. The first show in particular at the Fine Line was really impressive.
(early '92 I think, after the first album...I was also fortunate to have an extremely good seat for that one...)
Scott's playing and sound definitely had an influence on my own after that. |
