Hi dudes!!!!!
I´m a fan of difficult musical pieces(classical, and so on), and this is a tread about electric guitar played with a pick, so I like to play extreme difficult pieces to see my development as a guitar player techniquewise, and I came up with this brutal song from guitar virtuoso Carlos Paredes(one of the all time best guitar players IMO, he playd portuguese guitar).
The songs name is Movimento Perpetuo, and this Brutal Portuguese virtuoso named Gonçalo PEreira plays it flawlessly!!!!!!!!Major sick alternate picking!!!!!!
I just can´t play it at that speed!!!!!!!!
What a brutal musical composition and Brutal technique from Gonçalo!!!!!
Can anyone play it???????If so can anyone post the soundclip or vid of him/her playing that!!!!!!
Thanks, and could you name some other difficult pieces for me to try playing....
Major respect bros and I leave the link of Mr.Gonçalo Pereira playing it (he looks tired at the end because it´s the 3rd or 4th time in a row playing that song, and it must be DAMMMMMM HARD) and i leave the link to the powertab file of the song:

http://www.goncalopereira.pt/media/video/movimento.wmv -windows media vid

http://www.goncalopereira.pt/media/video/movimento.mpg -mpg file vid

http://www.goncalopereira.pt/media/...%20Perpétuo.ptb -powertab file

www.goncalopereira.pt -website -check the other vids....
Good luck playing( sick fingerings and streching.....)
Respect

I love the guitar !!!!It´s like all night sex

most fusion players tend to rely on legato than stright up alt. picking, not to say fusion player s can't pick as proven by Guthrie and others. I think Alt. picking is more a metal technique than anything, although thats just my opinion.

pat martino, john mclaughlin, al dimeola ...

also, i wouldn't categorize guthrie as a fusion player in the genre sense. although, that's just my opinion Wink
