I know Guthrie is a fan of Scotty Anderson, and likewise
Scotty is a fan of Guthrie.
Scotty has a website under construction with a great sample available.

Sounds cool. Thanks for the link. I can certainly hear some of Scotty's influence on Guthrie's playing. Guthrie has mentioned and raved about Scotty to me numerous times. _________________ Ed Yoon

Check it out.

Also check out his site in general, he'll be playing all around at NAMM. He is associated with quite a few manufacturers.
I used to study with him while I lived in NYC, and he is quite amazing, check out the videos.

Pie Jesu.........
That was some amazing guitarplaying.
I'd never heard of Scotty until I came to this forum.
Thanks a lot for the link! _________________ Virtuosity is only useful when serving a musical purpose - J.S.BARK |

Here's one more - a whole track called 'Artistry In Rhythm' from his album called 'Triple Stop'. Really some amazing playing and a fun tune as well with that 'Brazil' theme going! I really dig this mixture of country and jazz. I know he's not the first to do it but he makes it work and just sounds really good. Okay, I'm going to have to hunt this album down.

Scotty Anderson is so extreme....one of the most oustanding guitarists on the planet. He has an amazing instructional video that is well worth checking out. He is a very humble person, as well. |

Extreme is right! I never heard of him until this thread right here. What an amazing player. I'm not much of a country or jazz fan but this guy's got me hooked. Thanks!!! |

Where would you get some of his albums, I've never spotted them anywhere. And have always waited for his website.
After seeing Steve Adelson playing with him, I was hooked, and haven't see any of his cd's,

Guitar9 seems to have Scotty's albums:
www.guitar9.com
Do a search for "Scotty Anderson" and it'll show you the 'Triple Stop' and 'Classic Scotty Anderson' album. I plan to get 'Triple Stop' real soon. _________________ Ed Yoon
