I'm planning to be at most of the gigs - the only one I can't get to is Glasgow !

The first concert is tonight! Anyone going?

I'm kind of in the US, so I can't make it.

Had a fantastic time in Bradford last night.
For anyone the knows the GPS album the set list was something like this :

The Objector
All My Life
Window to the Soul
Since You've Been Gone
New Jerusalem
Taken Dreams

Guthrie was is his usual blinding form although it was difficult at times to hear him from where I was standing.
Next stop London Smile

Hey Tanya, how big are these venues? Did you stick around to check out Y&T? I wish I could see these shows. The GPS album is slowly growing on me although it's not the type of music I'd normally listen to. I'm still in the Erotic Cakes haze.

Hi Ed,
The venue sizes seem to vary from a few hundred to just under 2000. Bradford was about 800 I think.
I didn't see very much of the Y&T set as I was more interested in chatting to the band and a few friends that 'd met that night. What I saw of it seemed ok - maybe not really my thing,I'll reserve judgement until I've seen more.

I'm a little bit disappointed that the GPS album hasn't gone down better with the guys on this forum - it is an album that will grow on you ,even if you don't like rock music the Guthrie solos alone are well worth a listen. I can understand that 'Erotic Cakes' takes the top spot in your hearts though - incidentally, they are selling it on the merch stand Smile

Y&T is a classic balls-to-the-wall hard rock band, quite different from Asia or GPS. I thought it was an odd pairing (kinda like Asia and Dio), but hey, variety is the spice of life.

Don't take it hard about the lack of response to the GPS album here. The GG freaks here are not your normal music fans. Wink

Hi Ed,
I had lovely chat with Guthrie last night about the guys on here and why very few are interested in GPS - such a shame,I love it and Guthrie's contributions - just want to share the joy !!!

Tanya

PS :another blinding show in Dudley tonight - I'm very excited about the next gig as they're headlining and will play a longer set Smile

Just for the record. It's not that I'm not interested in GPS. It's more along the lines of I haven't heard it, and I don't have a great chance of getting any music anytime soon, so it'll be a bit before I can. I'm sure I'll enjoy it though.

If they'd play a show in Holland, I would definitely be there.
