Cool, I'll kick things off.

Here's that cool cascading 5ths tapping lick from 'Sevens':

Erotic Cakes Riff. Note that the open hi hat is on the off beat, but played as if it were on the beat.

I may carry on working on this later, I'm doing it in Guitar Pro- doing the drums as well so that it makes sense.

Some more of 'teh tappy tappy' Wink.

One of my faves, the tapping lick from 'Fives' with that cool legato lick flurry at the end:

Page2

'T' in a circle represents left hand taps , a.k.a taps from nowhere

pdf of both pages here.

Waves sweet tune, super sweet. Please DON'T necessarily take my tapping as 'the way it's played' I haven't had time to learn it myself, this is hot off the power tab press. The pitches are correct I have checked them unless I made a typo. This is where the music starts full volume. Enjoy!

Guys, why have we got this thread and this thread?

Can we AT LEAST LOOK AT WHAT OTHER THREADS MIGHT BE RELEVANT before firing off a new one? Huh?

I've no way of merging them back together.. so I'm thinking of zapping one...

I can't see the value of two identicle threads? Unless you guys are having a race? Wink

How about somebody tab out the rockin riff in "Sevens." The one that comes in after the harmonics section and before the solo, Seth actually plays it on the bass while Guthrie is going off. Anyway, sweet riff that I wish I could play, especially with the authority of Mr. Govan Cool

More of waves. This section starts at about 3 min. 6 sec. right after the harmonized run. Guthrie is sooo clean at even the fastest speeds it's quite astonishing.

Warning, playing this to speed may cause your fingers and or guitar to spontaneous combust.

**The author, Guthrie Govan, and this website take no responsibility to the loss of fingers or equipment when attempting to play the following.

cheeseshredder:

I guess I have transcribed that part of Waves (The beginning) with a little more sense (More near to what Guthrie plays). No tapping at all...

I can tab what I have transcribed and post here.

Yeah i found that the way i worked it out, it felt natural to stay on the lower and of the fretboard, instead of doing up to 12th fret territory for the 2nd slide, stay at 6/7 on the d string. the pitches seem correct, every tab ive seem has been slightly different but essentially the same idea, but most use different fingerings. nice work, and cheers for the sevens tapping lick.

It's kinda hard to see some of the slides over there but I guess the notes are right.

Enjoy! And thanks for all the other stuff posted there.

I started Rhode Island Shred. There aren't any slide markings or anything like that because I'm new with guitar pro.
