My educated guess based on my experience of setting up his rig for the TM '05 shows is:

Front of the amp:

Guyatone WR-3 Wah Rocker
Hermida Zendrive OD
Menatone JAC Compressor
Digitech Whammy
Ernie Ball volume pedal

In the loop:

Analog Man Clone Chorus
T-Rex Replica Digital Delay

The Cornford MK50 H II has two footswitchable effects loops (as opposed to the single one in the Hellcat), with which Guthrie was doing some experimentation, so it's possible his effects are further split from what you describe, but alas I neglected to take a look at the back of the amp during the day to find out Embarassed and his pedal board wiring is like spaghetti, so it's difficult to see how it's setup (especially as he leaves spare cables on there).

Maybe Mr. C knows, but I think he was as reluctant to mess with it as I was - when we returned from the live stage and set the amp up on the stand's stage again, we both looked at the pedal board case, then each other, and said "nah, we'll leave that for Guthrie..." Laughing

Which pedal does he use for the metallic effect that he sometimes uses in his solos?

That's the Mooger Fooger Ring Modulator - a big floor box in fancy wooden casing. Guthrie doesn't always use it on his gigs. I know he uses it a lot on his Bassment gigs but it's not something he'd want to lug around most of the time.

I've never heard of a volume pot sucking tone, the tuner out is supposed to be unbuffered and that robs volume but not tone...

I've an Ernie Ball Junior (adequate for uk size 11s)

Correcto.
I've recently moved my tuner away from the 'tuner out' feed from my Ernie Ball VP Jnr pedal for that reason. The only other thing I've noted is that running your guitar into the volume pedal directly means the guitar is hitting a passive pedal first of all, which obviously isn't ideal as you want passive pickups to be hitting a powered device as soon as they can. For this reason I've also swapped my volume and wah around so the guitar goes into the wah, which then feeds the volume pedal.

Sorry, got a bit Eric Johnson on y'all there.
Experiment, see what works for you, would be my best advice. And a +1 for the Ernie Ball volume pedals in general, mine's done me well.

yes. it's really cool. i've got the WR-2 myself, which i actually like better than the WR-3, but basically, they're the same. the WR-3 has two sensitivity settings, kind of.

I'm not %100 happy with my WR3... Maybe I need to sit down with it more...

I'm thinking about getting a Robotalk - I hear there's a new model on the horizon, so will wait and see what that's like.

Cheers

i'm sure there are other and better autowahs out there. i just like this one. it's effect is very 'poppy', which is nice. the pedal needs to be 'played' though, i.e. what it does is totally dependent on ones dynamics, picking attack, and even phrasing. u really have to think about how you're playing when it comes to distorted leads. for rhythm, chords and funky comping (even overdrived stuff) it's very easy to get a nice chunky ooohhaaah effect though.

i'd like a more mutron-ish effect though. the Emma DiscumBOBulator is supposed to be great at that.
