Okay, we've been over every friggin aspect of his rig... so what kind of cables did he use? I know he used Switchcraft connectors but the cables are still a mystery to me.

It makes a HUGE difference. I believe that SRV used Canare cables. I use Canare GS-6 and Sommer Spirit cables and they really sound hot. You would be surprised how much of a difference cables can make to your sound. One cable from another is like night and day.

Dude I hear you, I use the Canare cable and switchcraft connectors. It makes a huge difference in sound than say, moster cable. Is your cable choice as important as your amp, speakers, pickups, or guitar? Clearly not but if you play quality gear then it stands to reason that you should play quality cables.

I like the Canare with the Neutrik...I like cheap cables too! the built in capacitance tames some of the shrillness. I have some Monster Cables...they sound too hi-fi to me. I do use monster wire to hook up the speakers in my cabs..big difference..try it. Not the monster cables..the unshielded home audio speaker wire.
