Hi Scott, was listening to Allan Holdsworth's fantastic playing on Level 42's 'Guaranteed' album and wondering if you've ever also been tempted to take a 'commercial' gig for a while. I seem to recall that you turned Miles down in the late '80s but has there ever been a serious consideration on your part to play with a more 'pop' artist for the experience/money - I'm thinking of the Lionel Richies, Billy Joels or Madonnas of this world, or even the Al Jarreaus!

I'm guessing your answer but would be interesting to get your perspective on this...

Cheers

Matt

I'd have to like the music, because I'm a terrible actor. In theory, it would be great to make tons of money, but in reality, I'm sure I'd say something rude or roll my eyes at the wrong time and get fired - probably within the first week.

Have you heard this cd by Level 42 & Allan we're talking about? Here are two of the best cuts:

How do you consider it?

I wonder who played guitar on those songs in concert after Allan left the band.

Scott, you said many times that you don't like giving your opinion on other artists. I totally respect that. I really really do.
But... HOW GOOD IT IS TO HEAR THE TRUTH SOMETIMES!
