| Sorry, I think it's intrusive to show up after anyone's show and and expect an interview, especially from Allan, who isn't always in the best of moods after a show. Again, I'd like to have both him and John on the podcast, but only under the right conditions. |

This vid has everything you want - great tune, Sonny Rollins solo, the Physical Graffiti building.. but watching with the sound off is a great, watching 5 guys crocked out of their minds with not an ounce of self-consciousness.. its beautiful to watch. |

"This footage was a small part of a BBC documentary called "Deep Purple: Made In Japan". It was done with Deep Purple Overseas and was first shown on British TV on 12th September 2014. It turns out that someone in the audience had recorded parts of the Tokyo (17th August 1972) Show on an 8mm movie camera. Fortunately it was passed on, a few years ago, to Deep Purple Overseas. Since then there have been numerous uploads, here on youtube, of the entire BBC programme. Lots of them have been dubbed into different languages. The programme also contains most of the footage of Smoke On The Water (including Blackmore's solo) and also some footage of Highway Star and Space Truckin' (all from the Tokyo Show). It also shows (mixed in) some footage of other Shows that they did in the early seventies (Copenhagen on 1st March 1972 and New York, Hofstra University on 29th May 1973)."
