Hi Scott,

Just curious if you have ever used any of the other pedals made by Vemuram.
I'm wondering about the Shanks 3K, Shanks 4K and some of the other boosters.

I had a Jan Ray but it I thought it had too much midrange for use with my Marshall style amps. It sounded better with my Fender, but the RC Booster is still my favorite boost - it's much more transparent. I haven't heard the other Vemuram pedals.

I agree with Scott. If it's a fender type amp, the jan ray sounds good, but can be a bit too midrangy for pushed amps sometime

Has anyone here found any pedals they liked more than the jan ray? I've heard good things about the morning glory pedal.

I always come back to the Jan Ray with my fender.
I have tried the morning glory but it didn't have enough gain for me and was too bright. Tried the king of tone and it cut too much bass. Tried the cot and sounded too raspy with a fender. Tried the barber gain changer and it was not as natural sounding. I have the RC boost v2 and love it for clean boost and eq but if you are not pushing the amp to break up it doesn't get enough gain for me. All "imo" of course.
