Hi Scott, I was wondering if you think fretboard inlays affect tone. Specifically if mother of pearl block inlays affect the tone as opposed to dot inlays or no inlays at all.

BTW Any news of you playing John Pisano's guitar night soon?

I'm sure it affects the tone, especially if the inlays are huge. The string reflecting off a hard surface as opposed to wood probably makes the tone brighter.

No plans at this time for Guitar Night - he books pretty far in advance and I've been touring a lot.
