Hi there!!

Can anybody tell me what timesignature(s) the head on Giant Steps is played on the first VTT album??

I've transcribed the solo, but the head is giving me serious trouble!!! Rolling Eyes

It's in 4, same tempo as the rest of the tune. The rhythms are just a little weird. Some half-note triplets in there, for example. You'll get it!

I get a 7/8 feeling when I hearit, but I'll check it out!!

I'll post the solo in the transcriptions area when I get home from Frankfurt!!!MUSIK MESSE!!!!!!

I'll also post some of Snake soda. Transcribing those songs has been fun, but hard...I suck in transcribing...

Why don't you ask Noel Johnston in Denton TX? That's (probably) who Scott stole it from. (See the album "Possible Worlds")

Noel Johnston! Noel's my main man. I used to be his student at UNT until I started taking from Fred Hamilton, and we share gigs from time to time. Noel's a serious player--I'd recommend his newer album "NJPT."
