A mixed bag for me.
Usually parallel, particularly if I'm on the chord for a period of time - but sometimes derivative, particularly if using a substituted pentatonic scale, or a minor/major 7 arpe ... |

All of the above is really impressive, however it's Guthrie's playing over changes that separates him from the many technique endowed rock guitarists, IMO. |
