Just ordered a carbon copy of this guitar as my 40th birthday present for myself in January. Really looking forward to the "GG Signature Model" #2 coming in next week (delayed by a week). It's interesting to note that Guthrie doesn't care for the Wilkinson bridges and really likes the Fishman-built Standard bridge on this guitar. Here's what Suhr has to say about the various bridges they offer for their guitars:

Suhr advised me that they had to kick that one back and will build a whole new body for it. This guitar is going to have a recessed bridge so Guthrie could do JB-like trem pull-ups without having the bridge lean forward and I guess that means that the internal tremolo cavity rout needed to be a little different as well and it wasn't, so they're going to build a whole new body for it. Kind of a shame, but that's John Suhr for you - no little detail is too small to overlook.
John's motto has always been: "If I don't love the guitar, it doesn't go out." He'll kick back guitars that have really nothing wrong with them. If they just feel a little weird to John or that he feels the guitar doesn't have the magic, they get sent back and they'll make a new body or a neck for it or whatever. That's happened a few times with custom orders and the customers ended waiting several weeks or a month more than they were supposed to, but they were ultimately ecstatic in the end. I'm sure this will be the case for Guthrie's new one. He won't be here until January anyway. _________________ Ed Yoon

My dad rescued a Martin copy from his mate who was a Luthier, the guy didn't like the neck and was going to bandsaw the whole thing.. crazy guys.. but I guess if you love your work and value your reputation, you do those things. _________________ Fabulous powers were revealed to me the day I held my magic Suhr(d) aloft and said "by the power of great scale!"

I'm guessing this is at the Bassment.

It doesn't look like the bassment, is that the gig at Southend? Are these some of the photos Guthrie got given from that?
Apparently the bouncers from the Bassment turned up to that gig, they said they'd been on the doors for 4 years and they thought it was about time they listened to the music _________________ Fabulous powers were revealed to me the day I held my magic Suhr(d) aloft and said "by the power of great scale!"

Yep, I was advised by the guy who took these photos that it was the Churchills gig at Southbend. Yeah, I thought the background on these photos looked less musty...
