Is that a gig-bag?!
C'mon Ed - you could at least have given him a hardcase |
Well, there's a reason why it's called a gig-bag. _________________ Ed Yoon

Thanks for the pics. The guitar looks great on him. Seems like a match made in heaven! I'm sure he sounded awesome with it as well. _________________ Ed Yoon

By the way, who's the new drummer or has Pete grown a lot of hair and gotten buff all of a sudden? _________________ Ed Yoon

Petes in Japan with John Wettons 'Icon' at the mo, along with Guthries deputy at the Bassment Dave Kilminster.
Hope to catch up with them when they play St Mary-le-Bow Church London
21st Feb.
Oh the drummer is Martin 'Magic' Johnson and is a very able deputy for Pete. _________________ 'I may be hungry but I sure ain't weird'.......... |

Ed, has Guthrie ever played a Carve Top Suhr? Wonder what he thinks of them tonewise and regarding playability... |

I remember him trying out a student's Archtop with an F-hole several years at GIT. I don't think he's had a chance to try out a Carve Top - either the Standard or the Modern version that was introduced at NAMM. Too many guitars, not enough time!
Guthrie did try out some Antique (aged) Classics during his recent visit to the Suhr shop and at the GIT clinic and he really loved 'em. There was one that had identical specs to an Antique Classic that Mike Landau has that Guthrie tried and he really, really dug it. But I'd say he's pretty well occupied with his Sig Modern now. For a while, at least! _________________ Ed Yoon

The US list price is $5230 and the street price is around 30% off, so roughly $3650. _________________ Ed Yoon

Yes, we've started shipping and several are out there. You can contact an authorized Suhr dealer to place the order. _________________ Ed Yoon

Some of the first GG units (besides the ones shown at NAMM) are hitting the shops now. Here's one that just arrived at Matt's Music in Boston, complete with the laser-engraved GG signature on the back of the headstock.
