Don't want to burst the balloon, but Manchester wasn't a good venue for me. I was really looking forward to seeing you and Guthrie, but the room was too long and narrow and with no proper "stage" all I could see was your hair and Guthries headstock. No wonder you felt ill, so did I as it got progressively hotter.
I really enjoyed your info re: the guitars/wood and the Suhr history, plus Guthries skill, humour and sound were all excellent.
I left early as I was so frustrated, thank the lord I already have a GG to keep me going
BGG's review of Newcastle sounds so much better than Manchester.

Hi Red,
I did the find the venue to be an odd choice and not ideal for everyone to see Guthrie properly. And, seriously, it really was about seeing Guthrie. Sounds Great admitted that they severely underestimated the demand for the event and actually had to turn down requests for more tickets.
Sorry about that. We'll make it up with an EC band concert in a proper venue along with the master class and clinic the next time around, which will happen in less than a year. Hopefully, there'll be new solo material from Guthrie as well. I'd say the chances are good for that happening.

Just wanted to drop by and say that the clinic, concert and masterclass here in Norway were AWESOME!!
The masterclass was really great, Guthrie is a master of the guitar with a really good sense of humor! And such a nice guy
It was a really inspiring experience.
And it was cool to hear about the Suhr's, I didn't get to try one at the store though, since me and my brother had to drive a long long way in all the snow and therefore barley made it in time for the masterclass.
The concert itself cannot be described. It's such an amazing experience.
Seeing him on youtube is one thing... but seeing him live cannot be described.
I had a really good time, I hope you'll return here to Norway sometime again! _________________ Im Mats
