Hey, I'm just the marketing guy here. I have nothing to do with operations.
Seriously, I have no idea. Seems there were a few glitches with the initial rush but I'm sure it's all sorted out now. _________________ Ed Yoon

So what do I do with the extra copy? I mean, I haven't paid for it or anything, and I'm guessing your stock isn't exactly limitless. |

Hmmm, perhaps you can get a friend to order a copy and you can guarantee instant delivery? _________________ Ed Yoon

Actually, I got a cunning idea. I'll sell the album to a friend, and use the money to buy those Tone Merchants DVD's. After receiving Erotic Cakes and both of the Creative Guitar books on the same day(weird coincidence), I'm now officially Hooked On Guthrie. The only thing missing is some spankin' video footage of the man doing what he does best, and I know those DVD's will deliver in spades. |

Good idea. I know how great of an evangelist you are, having seen you do the fine work on behalf of Shawn and other great players like Ritchie, Yngwie, etc. I'm glad that you've come to see Guthrie is his own man. I realize that it'll take the album (and the DVD's) to "convert" some people. Seeing him live in person will take it to another level altogether. _________________ Ed Yoon

Paul, Ed, do any of you know what might have happened here? |
Never mind all that Yngtchie, what do you think of the album? |

I think it's great. Only listened to it once at work, but it really left a great impression on me. While the songs are very varied, the album has a very unified sound, which isn't always the case when you're dealing with very eclectic guitarists like Guthrie. While he doesn't have the most instantly identifiable sound, you can still tell it's Guthrie when you listen to the playing and the tunes.
I won't go into detail on each and every track, as most were standouts to me. "Uncle Skunk" has a Vai-vibe(Vaibe?) that is perhaps a bit too Vai-ish for its own good. The rest was a-okay in my book. |
