That's awful news - I owned a computer business in Watford and we were ram raided three times so I know how you feel.
Keep your eyes peeled on eBay and email as many UK guitar forums as possible. |

That's a bit unkind! I have been a regular at the JP forum for many years and GG is one of the few guitarists who gains universal support and accolades over there.
It seems a bizzarre place to ram-raid??? surely high street stuff would be much easier to shift? or computers? |

Yeah, sounds like a typical Thomas Cook job. You can't trust Expedia, either... their reps beat me up on the train once. All because I wouldn't use their travel insurance.
Really sorry to hear about the robbery, Paul... hope you can recover as much as possible.

I was attempting to be politically correct.
You just can't get away with saying 'Thieving Gyp$y B@st@rds' these days in polite company without being called a racist. I seem to remember 'Viz' who hadn't realised at the time that Gypsies are classed as a race, ran a strip called the very same. It was pulled after a week when a Gypsy (who was later convicted of handling stolen goods) complained. However they did run another strip later called 'The Nice Honest Gypsies'.
You're right though, those reps can be vicious at times.

Are you saying it was Django? The evidence is compelling! |

Paul,
Sorry to hear about the robbery.
Would you object to me posting your message on the GPS/Asia forums I belong to ?
There's quite a few Brits on those lists someone might see something - it's going to be hard to shift 6000 CD's without someone noticing !

Paul - I've just PM'd you a link, may be innocent but might be worth checking.
Cheers,

Ha, perhaps DR took the term 'gypsy guitar' to far!!!! _________________ "The reason why guthrie is so good, is that he doesen't spend most of his time on the petrucci forum bitching about vai" |

Hi Tanya,
Please do post away, that would be fab. The TGB's that took them really couldn't have known what the were taking, 6000 very specialist records, the police said to me they will sell them to market traders, to which I said, it not Britney Spears dude? _________________ GoldFish Don't Bounce. |

That'll be the buggers downfall Paul - not knowing what it is they've taken ... once the CD's appear they should be easy to trace back.
I agree with the police view that it will be markets and bootfairs that they'll be found - seems to be the only way to shift masses of CD's these days
I'm going to nip down to Southend market tomorrow and have a look just in case !

Maybe they thought they'd lifted 6000 porn DVD's?
You never know one of them may have been able to read and noticed the word 'erotic'! |
