Hi guys,
I don't know if that subject should be in here but that's
the best place for it to fit in I guess.
Most of the songs I like doesn't have sheet anywhere
so I have to transcribe them (Which is a good because than I must do it and it developing my muscial hearing). But anyway some of the
songs I have to slow down a bit for transcring them and I guess
many others here use a program to slow down music for transcribing.
So anyway my question is: can anyone recommend me of a program
that slow down music for transcribing and doesn't have a limited time (trial)
like the program "Transcriber" (I know I can turn the clock back in the computer and "trick" the program but it shut down my internet).
If it's against the rules of the forum I'm sorry I didn't notice, Please just
delete the thread. |

I would give it more time with Audacity. Make sure you're using the 'Change Tempo' function as opposed to the 'Change Speed' function. If there's something you can't get from slowing down 30-35% in Audacity, I'm afraid it's not the software that needs more work. I've been using Audacity for years, and although there are more accomplished pieces of software out there (eg. Transcribe), Audacity does everything you need to train your ear in. |

At $0.00, Audacity is a pretty good deal...better than loading your turntable down with coins _________________ SoundCloud |

lol I actually used change speed
but still my probalm with the program is it's too slow
everytime you want to change anything you need to wait for
it to load it, very not comfertable.
I can transcribe it without the program my hearing is great
and I all ready transcribed without it few songs (for example I remember wes which I published here)
but still usuing a program make it easier, faster and 100% accurate.
Isn't there a way of cracking "Transcribe" program or something? |

It's not for me to be policing this forum, but you probably shouldn't be asking that question here (or, from a strictly legal standpoint, anywhere else). |

I (occasionally, when it's needed) use software designed to transcribe lectures and stuff, named "Express Scribe".
It's very meat and potatoes with no frills or anything, but it works quite well and it's free. |

"Play Speed Settings" in the panel bellow the "visualization". _________________ http://deep-dream.net |
