hey guys i was wondering what the best pickups are to get stevies tone that are avalible today. thanks

So many choices!

-Fralin Blues Specials or Vintage Hots are a good starting point
-Van Zandt Rock or Blues Pickups
-Rio Grande Vintage Tallboys

Those are your typical "HOT" pickups that people normally gravitate towards for the SRV thing. But any good normal output single coil will do fine. Any of the above pickups will get you close. Go to www.acmeguitarworks.com to listen to some clips of a lot of aftermarket pickups.

Remember, SRV used the selector switch on his strats extensively to achieve lots of different tones. Don't forget about it!
